- Scope of application
To ensure the normal operation of many online analyzers, it is necessary to continuously provide clean and dry samples. But for many refineries, this means a huge workload. The existing sample processing systems are frequently blocked by solid particles. The maintenance cost increases with the number of times the analyzer stops working. Ultimately, this led to a significant increase in labor costs, filtration membrane costs, and costs caused by process control issues for the refinery.
Phase Technology is honored to introduce the intelligent sample pre-processing system AQUANOT, which is a de facto maintenance free sample processing system. AQUANOT is currently the only fully intelligent and universal system in the refining industry. By continuously providing clean and dry samples, AQUANOT can minimize your investment in online instruments to the greatest extent possible.
Widely used
The AQUANOT sample pretreatment system can be applied to most online analytical instruments, including online chromatography, online vapor pressure, and online sulfur analyzers. Can be assembled or customized to provide pulse or continuous sample flow in most hazardous locations. In a fully open work environment, AQUANOT is not affected by weather conditions. Operating principle

Filter membranes are used to separate water and solid particles from sample streams. AQUANOT is divided into two parts through a filter membrane, with the upstream membrane serving as the sample flow input and the downstream membrane serving as the output. The untreated sample stream enters the input section and quickly makes full contact with the filter through a coaxial channel. Most of the untreated sample stream is left outside the filter through a bypass reservoir. The hydrophobic composition and small pores of the filter membrane allow only clean and dry samples to pass through it.

In addition, the vortex device can effectively remove free water from the sample, but some residual fine particles will still remain in the pores of the filter membrane, causing the filter membrane to be quickly clogged, ultimately leading to a decrease in filtration rate and replacement of the filter membrane. AQUANOT's anti blocking device can provide a reverse flow force of the membrane, blowing particles blocked in the pores into the sample recovery system. This way AQUANOT can provide clean, dry samples for online analyzers within a few months without maintenance.
